Frequently asked questions
Everything about service vouchers, costs and household help in one place.
Service vouchers are the easy way to pay for your household help. To pay the worker, you use electronic service vouchers.
You pay one service voucher per full hour worked. At CS Cleaning Services, an administration fee of €1.50 per hour is added, charged quarterly.
Each person can order 500 service vouchers per calendar year: the first 400 at €10 and the next 100 at €11. A household can order up to 1,000 service vouchers together: 800 at €10 and 200 at €11.
The price and the maximum number of service vouchers are set by the government and may change. For the most up-to-date information, always check the official channels of the Flemish government.
All information and purchasing can be found on the Flemish government website: dienstencheques.vlaanderen.be. We work with electronic service vouchers via Pluxee.
You buy service vouchers electronically. They are kept in the wallet of your Burgerprofiel. Once your household helper has finished the work, you receive a payment request that you confirm in the wallet.
If there are not enough service vouchers in your wallet, the payment cannot go through. To avoid interruptions, we recommend setting up a standing order to Pluxee (formerly Sodexo) at your bank. That way your service vouchers are topped up regularly and you don’t have to remember it yourself.
Your household helper can, among other things:
- Clean your home
- Keep the pavement by your front door and the terrace by your house clean
- Wash windows, inside and out, as long as no ladder higher than 3 steps is needed
- Do the laundry and ironing
- Make the beds and change the bed linen
- Do a small errand
- Prepare meals
You can also drop off your ironing at our ironing service.
With service vouchers, your household helper does household work in your home. These tasks are not part of that:
- Cleaning shared parts of a building, such as an entrance hall or stairwell
- Cleaning a shop, practice or other workplace
- Lifting or moving heavy items (more than 10 kg)
- Climbing a ladder higher than 3 steps
- Garden work
- Washing your car or another vehicle
- Looking after the children or taking them to and from places
- Personal care tasks
- Cleaning pet cages, baskets or litter trays
- Taking out waste
